Choice Implementation Grant

Lewiston Housing, with the City of Lewiston as co-applicant, submitted a Choice Implementation grant application in December of 2020. Lewiston Housing, in partnership with Avesta Housing, will lead the redevelopment of 92 deteriorated HUD-assisted residential properties (target housing units), including Maple Knoll, Lafayette Park, and several smaller scattered affordable properties, in three strategic replacement sites in the neighborhood.  In addition to the 92 assisted units LHA will build an additional 93 units of workforce and market rate units throughout these sites. More information on Choice Implementation can be found on Transformation.

Martel Apartments will provide 44 homes to seniors earning less than 50% or 60% of area median income (AMI). 27 units will have project-based vouchers, allowing seniors to pay 30% of their adjusted monthly gross income towards rent.
