Lewiston Housing is excited to share that Soleil Phase 2 has been awarded funding through MaineHousing’s recent development round. This investment brings us one step closer to completing Soleil, a two-phase mixed-use development at the corner of Bates and Ash Street that will provide 72 new affordable workforce homes and new commercial space in the Tree Streets neighborhood.

Phase 1, currently under development, includes 36 one-bedroom apartments and eight two-bedroom apartments. Phase 2 will add another 24 one-bedroom apartments and four two-bedroom apartments. When complete, the two phases will form a single cohesive five-story building with resident amenities and active ground-floor uses. Kaplan Thompson Architects is leading the design for both phases, bringing a community-centered approach to the project.

Soleil will complement our Choice DeWitt development on the same block and further strengthen the continued revitalization of the Tree Streets neighborhood.
